Coastal Adventure Guided Kayak Tour

Our guides love the stretch of coastline between Ohope Beach and Whakatane and its always a delight to paddle with visitors past eternally beautiful Otarawairere Bay and through the rocky channels beyond. When we stop for morning tea at a hidden beach, accessible only from the ocean, it captures the essence of New Zealand’s outdoors – great vistas, pristine environment and solitude! On the return there is usually an opportunity to try a little kayak surfing at West End, Ohope Beach where the trip begins and ends. Thrills and spills guaranteed.

I (Kenny, business owner) once bumped, almost literally, into a Minke Whale on this trip which was a special moment and we have had other wildlife encounters with Orca, seals, gannets and penguins at different times. This trip will energise you with a sense of freedom and love for the Bay of Plenty and of course in summer, its a wonderful place to swim.
